The Perfect 1920s Nautical Day Dress

I have always wanted a 1920s navy nautical themed dress and this one ticks all of the boxes!

1920s Wilshire Flapper Dress - c/o Unique Vintage
Shoes - I Love Billy

I haven't worn a 1920s style outfit in quite a while but when I first saw this nautical dress on the Unique Vintage website I knew that I had break out a new 1920s look that I plan to repeat as I can't get enough of this dress!

The fabric on this dress is light and flowy, perfect for spring and summer and the white tie + waist contrasting details make it super elegant with that beautiful nautical touch. This is such a perfect day day dress and as much as I love beaded flapper dresses this is one I can get away with wearing any day of the week and as you can see here, a walk by the water with mum and the dogs. I went with my usual size small in Unique Vintage and again I am happy with the fit. I'm looking forward to wearing this dress again and again as I'm sure that it will be my new go to 20s dress.

For this look I just pinned my hair into a quick messy faux bob before heading out of the house and I like the way it turned out since my hair is quite long at the moment... I'm amazed that it stayed in place the whole time... There were lots of bobby pins involved though!

I've had a pretty full on couple of weeks so I'm looking forward to just relaxing this afternoon as I need a bit of quiet time! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

  1. This navy dress is truly a beautiful piece! I like that even though the accent is on the hips they still do not hide the waist.
