Specsavers Australia x Red or Dead London

Saturday, 6 July 2019

Today I'm featuring two pairs of specs by Specsavers Australia, this particular collection is in collaboration with British designer brand Red or Dead London. The amazing thing with these glasses is that they are an interchangeable design. Each pair of glasses comes with two sets of arms so you can change the look literally by changing the arms, which is so cool!

I am a lover of tortoiseshell style frames but I love that these have a more muted pastel tone to them, the pop of colour with the soft pastel pink arms makes them so fun and a little bit glam. How could I not pair them with a pink beret and dress?! I also love how classic they look with the matching tortoiseshell arms, it's amazing how different these glasses look with a simple change of the arms. I always have the Ultraclear Superclean coating added to my glasses, for reflection, glare, computer work and for night driving. I am super happy with how this frame fits and just how versatile it is. This pastel loving gal is very happy!

I'm a lover of big round sunglasses so I had to have these. These specs are actually sold as a clear opthalmic set of glasses (see here) but you can tint or polarise most of the glasses in store. I am obsessed with all things yellow and mustard at the moment so when I saw the colourful arms on these frames I knew that I had to have them. I love that you can also change the arms to brown as well, I'd swap to these when I'm wearing something that is super bright and would clash with the yellow, it's nice to know that you can swap it to a slightly more neutral arm. The great thing about being able to tint the lenses of a frame like this is it makes this type of frame that is already quite different even more unique!

Mixing and matching clothes and accessories is something I love to do and the fact that I can do it with my glasses now is so exciting! It has been a bit of a luxury to wear these glasses the past few weeks and to have the option to customise my look depending on the overall outfit. I have also been loving the injection of colour with these new styles.

I have worn prescription glasses for reading and computer work the past few years but now have a small distance prescription now. It's always a good idea to pop into Specsavers Australia for an eye test, even if it's just to check the health of your eyes. If you're passing by you need to pop in and check out the Red or Dead range and have a play around with the styles in store. I am super happy with my choices and have had so much fun with them already!

Be sure to head to the Specsavers Australia website to check out the collection or pop into your local store to try them on!

Erstwilder's latest release includes a large collection of essential earrings of many different shapes and colours! I have featured six of my favourites in this photo heavy blog post.

(This Joanie dress is coming to the blog soon)

Photos by me

I love all of the different shapes and colours in this range and earrings are one of my favourite go-to accessories. Especially when they are on the smaller side like this, when I'm at work or just need a little bit of extra colour with my outfits they always do the trick.

I like that this range is easy to wear, simplistic but still so super cute, head to the Erstwilder website to shop the range!

Hunter Valley

Friday, 21 June 2019

Long time no blog post! I just got back from a trip to Hunter Valley with Max. Here's a few quick shots we took on our last morning. We literally took these in about three minutes because it was freezing!

Tshirt - Mischief Made
Hat - Rivers

With a few minutes without my coat on I had to get a few quick snaps with this beautiful scenary, I think the overalls go so well with the colours of the country.

Max and I have never been to the Hunter Valley even though it is a short drive. The Hunter Valley is well known for it's vineyards and cellar doors, however I don't even drink and Max rarely. So what brought us here you ask? Well I have always loved being in the country and farms, though I booked a Meerkat Experience at Hunter Valley Zoo for Max's birthday.

We spent a whole 20 minutes inside the Meerkat enclosure with Meerkats jumping all over us, eating food from a bowl in our hands and on our head. It was one of the greatest things we have experienced and loved every minute, you can see some photos of us with the Meerkats on my insta post

We enjoyed some cheese tasting, bought some cheese to take back to our cabin and indulged in chocolate too all from local companies. We ended our trip with a beautiful horse trail ride and saw lots of Kangaroos by the way, one with a joey too when we spotted it's little feet poking out of mama roo's pouch.

I love a good getaway every now and again but am happy to be home and in my own bed.

Oh and I ordered my wedding dress this week!

Another new season piece from Hell Bunny's latest range, I am loving this tropical print jumpsuit!

Photos by Mum

Outfit Details

Florida Jumpsuit - c/o Hell Bunny (also available in pineapple print)
Hat - Thrifted
Sunglasses - Pared Eyewear

A Tuesday for me is usually spent at the beach, this includes a dog walk and then brunch which is good start to the day. It is really starting to feel like Autumn now, though despite the windy weather lately the warm sun feels so good when walking outdoors.

This Hell Bunny jumpsuit is so cute and extremly comfortable! Perfect for hot summer days and easy to throw on and look put together when you don't feel that way due to the heat or just when you've had a busy week in general. The is no zip, just an elastic waist and a button at the back of the neck, special mention of the deep pockets, always essential. I love the pink tropical flowers and flamingos and it's even better against the black background which makes the print pop!

My style has changed a bit over the past year, I still love vintage, all of my dresses and always will. But I have been wearing a lot of boho style clothing, trying different things and still mixing in my vintage pieces. Though my lifestyle has changed a bit these days too so that can have an affect. I love that this jumpsuit and quite a few pieces from Hell Bunny's new range can be have a bit more of a relaxed feel to it, style it more retro if you like or a bit more casual too and you'll look fabulous no matter what!

I haven't been setting my hair very often in vintage styles lately too as I am embracing my natural curls, now that my hair has grown out back to it's natural blonde state and I've switched to organic products it now curls the way I want it to naturally. Though I do enjoy setting it into vintage styles maybe a couple of times a fornight (like I have here for this photoset), it's nice to have my hair natural and in a styled state.

Style is always evolving and since I was a little girl I have always loved to experiment with it.
