Hunter Valley

Long time no blog post! I just got back from a trip to Hunter Valley with Max. Here's a few quick shots we took on our last morning. We literally took these in about three minutes because it was freezing!

With a few minutes without my coat on I had to get a few quick snaps with this beautiful scenary, I think the overalls go so well with the colours of the country.

Max and I have never been to the Hunter Valley even though it is a short drive. The Hunter Valley is well known for it's vineyards and cellar doors, however I don't even drink and Max rarely. So what brought us here you ask? Well I have always loved being in the country and farms, though I booked a Meerkat Experience at Hunter Valley Zoo for Max's birthday.

We spent a whole 20 minutes inside the Meerkat enclosure with Meerkats jumping all over us, eating food from a bowl in our hands and on our head. It was one of the greatest things we have experienced and loved every minute, you can see some photos of us with the Meerkats on my insta post

We enjoyed some cheese tasting, bought some cheese to take back to our cabin and indulged in chocolate too all from local companies. We ended our trip with a beautiful horse trail ride and saw lots of Kangaroos by the way, one with a joey too when we spotted it's little feet poking out of mama roo's pouch.

I love a good getaway every now and again but am happy to be home and in my own bed.

Oh and I ordered my wedding dress this week!

  1. A little getaway does wonders for the soul! Lovely pics, it actually looks warm, I wouldn't have guessed it was so cold. The meerkat experience sounds like a lot of fun. Xx
