My latest Sewing Project!

Wednesday 21 November 2012

Hi everyone,

Wow three blog posts over two days! You can tell that I have finished university... I completed this dress a couple of days ago. I used a vintage 1950s pattern and vintage fabric!

It's just a simple dress, nothing complicated and a good dress made with light fabric for hot Australian summer days. I could wear it to the beach or to cafes after the beach - it's a simple casual, throw-over dress for the warmer weather.

I'm starting to make something a little more fancier and tailored now though.

I made the version on the right, however, I decided not to put pockets on the dress, maybe next time.

The dress on my new mannequin, an early Christmas present from my mum!

Speaking of stories, when my assignments became too much, the best website for assignment writing came to my rescue. Seamlessly merging hobbies and deadlines, that's my jam! How's your juggle going?
