Last month I went to Chromefest which is a big local rockabilly festival by the water, this was my third year attending this festival and it's something I always look forward to. There's always lots of beautiful classic cars to look at, great live music, a variety of stalls for shopping and there were so many amazing outfits. It was great to meet a a couple of people that I on Instagram and to see some familiar faces that I met from previous years at Chromefest.
Renee came over to my house in the morning and we got ready together which is always part of our little tradition before these events. We were only ten minutes late to leave the house, in the past we have taken thirty minutes or so longer than we had allowed for ourselves to get ready so I think we did pretty well this time haha.
After a month of outfit planning I ended up wearing this matching set by Rock n Romance, I was a bit concerned about the weather as it was pouring with rain the day before. When I woke up I saw the sun peaking through and starting to shine so I was extra excited to put this summer outfit on. It was very windy by the water as you can tell by my hair in some of the photos but it was very refreshing, better than being too hot I say!
This shirt is actually a full length shirt but I love matching sets with a crop top, so that is how I wore it. The skirt is really lovely and full, it also include two front pockets - I love pockets and kept my phone in there most of the day. I am wearing size 8 for both pieces and the fit is great, it's pretty much true to size like most brands I wear. These two pieces make excellent separates, I wore the shirt with some black shorts a few days ago and the skirt will look great with a lot of tops I already own. I always have a lot of fun mixing and matching pieces and seeing what I can come up with. This Hawaiian shirt & skirt is sold separtely and is also avilable as a dress, I'm really loving the quality and styles that Rock n Romance has on offer from their own brand and I can't wait to see what's next.
Have a great week!

I love seeing classic cars, it sounds like a good event. And what a super outfit for it! I was so tempted by that co-ord set but they released it just as Autumn was arriving here. Maybe next summer! X
ReplyDeleteGreat blog! So much fun and it comes through in your writing! Your hair looks fantastic in the wind! Love everything about this outfit ❤️
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful outfit. The shirt and skirt would make you look the part whatever, but the belt, bagels, shoes and flower really make the look!
ReplyDeleteReally nice colours on this set - and anything that can be paired with red is right up my street. Shame it's going to be a looooong time before I can wear clothes like this again now :( x
ReplyDelete<3 Love these photos! Your fight with the wind shots are so much fun and really plays well with your outfit! Sounds like you had a really wonderful day! Love the outfit you picked for this event <3
ReplyDeleteLove your outfit and I m jealous now that here is almost winter. Ah cars, love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous look! I love how you brought out the hints of red in the pattern with that gorgeous petticoat, red belt, and super cute heels. I'm a big fan of fall, but you're making me want to turn back the clock to spring and summer here in the northern hemisphere!
ReplyDeleteI've not heard of Chromefest before. I'll have to look out for it next year.
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit so much on you and such a great choice to wear to Chromefest, what a shame it was so windy on the day you went, at least it wasn't raining though by then! :)
ReplyDeleteAloha Tiki girl! Looking incredible as always!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a lot of fun! And you look so gorgeous. <3
