Willow

A maxi dress that is both super glamorous and very comfortable!

Willow Maxi Wrap Dress - c/o Voodoo Vixen
Atomic Amber Earrings - c/o Revere Folie
Lady Dragon Heels - Vivienne Westwood x Melissa (eBay)

This is another Voodoo Vixen dress that I was really excited about when I first saw it in the lookbook ahead of it's release a few months ago. This 40's inspired wrap dress could also be styled with the 30's and 70's in mind too... I think I'll be wearing it 70's style next time for sure. I have already worn this dress out twice which goes to show I truely love this dress.

I first wore it on Saturday to a friend's wedding, I also wore a Voodoo Vixen jumpsuit for the first part of the day and then changed into this dress for the evening dinner. Max and I enjoyed a very small and intimate wedding which included their dogs as the ring bearers which was both cute and funny. It was quite a hot day, we were busy commuting to a venue for high tea/dinner throughout the day and we just wanted to enjoy the day which left no room for blog photos, but of course there was time for an Instagram snap or two.
This was the first weddding that we have been to and I enjoyed how relaxed and easy going it was. I even got to do the bride's make-up which was fun. We went for light make-up for the heat and to simply just highlight the bride's gorgoeous features with pink lips for day and a red for the evening. I'm no make-up artist but it was nice to have that trust and she looked gorgeous!

I can't help but feel ultra glam each time I wear this dress, I think it is an instant confidence booster too. It hugs my curves so nicely and is so comfortable, it's such a timeless dress. I am wearing size small and the dress fits perfectly, it is made of polyester though the fabric is nice and smooth with no itchiness, I tried and tested this during a hot day whilst remaining comfortable throughout the afternoon and evening. When it came to styling the dress I felt like keeping it simple was best, I wore a pair of earrings by the always amazing Revere Folie and paired the dress with my Vivienne Westwood shoes. This dress is going to be really lovely to wear during Autumn, I can't wait!

  3. This dress makes me so sad because I love it, but I can see with that curved hem it's beyond my alteration skills so I can't have it :( It's one of my favourites from VV's range so I'm not surprised you were on it! x
