I made this dress a few months ago but sadly have to pack it away because the weather is so cold now! I love how colourful this fabric is and thought that it would go perfectly with this Butterick dress pattern.
I can't recall how long this dress took to make as it was broken up over a few weekends, probably 6 hours? It was quite an easy pattern to make, although I think I may put the zip in again as I think it could have gone in better. I love the details on the shoulder and the fullness of the skirt. It's a really feminine dress with a gorgeous silhouette.
Overall, I am happy with my first attempt at this dress, it was quite a simple dress to make and I will definitely end up wearing it during summer. I would love to make it again too.
A few more patterns made their way to my PO box this week which I am excited about and I am currently working on a 1950s style square neckline dress with beautiful rose border print fabric.
