Cigarette Pants - Deadly Dames
Angora Sweater - Op-shop
Shoes - Kmart

I wore this outfit out to the shops and over to my boyfriend's house yesterday... I took the photos in the morning and afternoon in my backyard to test out the lighting. My flamingos look cute in our new backyard!

The annoying thing with angora sweaters is that it goes all over your clothes... But i guess it wasn't too bad. I love the cropped little sweater as it goes perfectly with my high-waisted cigarette pants.

I found a couple of cute old bedside tables on the side of the road yesterday and I gave them some TLC - they're now fixed up and look super cute with my yellow 60s lampshades on top, I must show you those now that I think about it!
So I also fixed the tables in this outfit, but it wasn't a big job otherwise I would have changed to clothes that wouldn't get ruined! I would hate to damage my good clothes.

I just received another 1950s dress pattern in the mail which would make a nice winter dress and I hope to use my 1950s capri pants pattern too - or even make the long pants for winter... Betty Draper inspired plaid ones from season 2.
Hopefully I can make something very soon and put it on the blog!

I'm also enjoying having my hair short again because it means I don't have to pin-curl it and my natural curls seem to react really well to short hair... My natural curls get a bit out of control when it's long!

I just made a big pot of pumpkin-sweet potato soup which I can't wait to tuck into soon and maybe I'll make some brownies... Mmmmmm, I love good homemade food!

  7. The flamingoes make me think of Alice in Wonderland; the weather does look quite nice for a game of croquet. The soup sounds delicious as well, I love pumpkins and sweet potatoes.
