Last night I went to a local cinema which is always lovely to visit every now and again... It was constructed in 1951 and they continue to maintain it to keep it quite original. I apologise for not getting any great photos of it, maybe next time. There are beautiful red velvet curtains that open when the films starts and some vintage interior.

I went with my boyfriend Max, his mother Nat and a couple of other people... We were there because Nat had a special documentary screening that she filmed/edited/produced (along with various other filmmakers and their projects).

The documentary that Nat made was actually about me and my love of vintage fashion/culture! The whole thing was filmed in my room which was fun and exciting! It had to be shot and edited with a time limit of 3 minutes in mind and I'm impressed with Nat's final product! I should be able to share it with you online eventually, so stay tuned for that!

My friend gave me this 1950s dress and it was in need of some fixing. It had stains all over, one side of the bodice had quite a big fabric tear and the hem was starting to drop. I gave the dress a soak in the bathtub for 2 days and all of the stains came out (AMAZING) and I just repaired the other faults. I was so happy to bring this dress to life again, it is beautiful and I thank my friend for giving it to me after having it stored away with no use for it.

And thank you to my wonderful boyfriend for taking these photos of me (and Nat for taking a couple of us together)! It was a lovely night and a great oppurtunity to wear this dress out!

  1. My goodness that dress is beautiful! You are a vintage perfection from head-to-toe in this ensemble! That pale pink dress really works on you, the color is a difficult one to wear!
