Yes, yes, yes... Another nautical outfit, I just can't help myself.
Navy Anchor Wiggle Dress - c/o Unique Vintage
Belt - Bernie Dexter
Shoes - Payless
Scarf - eBay
Brooch - Op-shop
This is one of the most comfortable wiggle dresses I have ever worn and now I want it in every colour. There are quite a few colours to choose from but I could not pass up the nautical print, I like that it is subtle but when you look close you can see the little anchors. So yes, I had to wear it to the waterfront and yes I had to pair it with red.
I went for my usual size small for unique vintage and the fit is incredible and there is plenty of stretch, which is why it is so damn comfortable. I love the sleeves and the neckline too, this dress is going to be worn on repeat during Autumn and Winter that's for sure. It's also nice for cool summer nights and is a great choice for the waterfront when it is extra windy. Dress it up, dress it down, wear it to work or whatever you like because this is a very versatile design.
I'm always searching for dresses that are easy to incorporate into everyday life and that are quite practical too. I love extravagant dresses but I love to have a selection that are true to my style whilst being really simple to throw on for any situation.
I can't wait to share my next Unique Vintage looks with you!

The phrase "Anchors away!" is a nautical term used to signal the ship's crew to raise the anchor and prepare to set sail. It is a traditional naval command given before departing on a voyage.
