Winter Sun

Sunday 14 August 2016

Afternoon sun is one of my favourite parts of winter and when I'm surrounded by nature with my dogs it is such a peaceful way to end the day.

Although this past week has felt a bit like spring during the days it still feels like winter in the afternoon and evenings... I am glad because it means I can still wear all of my winter outfits, old and new. This jumper is something I wear again and again during Autumn and Winter, I have it in red too. It looks great with jeans and skirts like this, great jumpers and cardigans are always a wardrobe staple for me!

The photo with my dogs at the start of the post was candid as cheeky Fifi went to chase a little dog up the top of the hill who she has ongoing tension with.. It's quite funny they always have a stare off to try and intimidate each other until they have to part their own ways which is when we pick up our dogs and walk in opposite directions.

I had a good mail week too, I am so picky when it comes to buying boots and kept putting off purchasing them this winter and the last... Though I got lucky during a recent sale and bought five pairs for the price of one really, love a good sale.

More winter outfits to come and more sixties mod this month, because I unpacked some of my sixties outfits from a suitcase this week and had to put an outfit together yesterday. Wishing you a great week to come!

  2. What a cute and classic look! I love the plaid skirt with the jaunty beret - so perfectly fall. I always enjoy looking at Aussie bloggers even more in the transitional seasons because you always give me great ideas about the season to come.

  4. I love seeing outfits like this. Makes a lovely change from the "uniform" I see so many women around here wear.

  7. Beautiful look. Oh when I think about autumn and winter I become sad, because that means rain, rain and rain. Why can't we have summer all year :)

  8. I love your outfit, it looks perfect for winter! Almost makes me wish autumn would finally arrive, but I still kind of want to stick to summer... at least for a couple of weeks :) (Doesn't look very summery, when it's cold and raining though...)

That skirt looks much better of you than it did on the model. It looked like it had a little weird cut, but it looks so adorable with that cardigan that I almost want to buy it. I loooove tartan and that colorway is just perfect to go with anything blue, red and white and why not grey and black too. :)

  11. I was really unsure about the length of these skirts (31.5"?!) but you know what, you've really convinced me. I mean, probably it would would look awful on my stumpy legs, but so classic and elegant here that I almost think it would be worth a go! x

  13. This is how I want to dress this Autumn - cosy check fabric, jumpers, berets, and a nice healthy glow in my cheeks! The length of the skirt is fab on you. x

  14. Awesome outfit! The older I get, the more I find myself wanting to buy (and wear!) all the plaid things. It's rather shocking that it took me until last winter to get my first plaid circle skirt, but better late than never, as they say. I've always had a fair bit of plaid in my closet in general though and hope that more skirts in this classic print can join my circle one as time goes on.
