Wearing a matching jacket and skirt set with some polka-dots thrown in between.
Shoes - Wittner
I have been extra busy this past fortnight and when I took these photos I had bit of a cold, though it only lasted two days thanks to fresh lemons from the tree in the backyard - lemon & honey drinks are my go-to whenever I start to feel a bit of a cold coming on. I probably look a little tired in the photos but I'm always happy to be out and about in the sunshine.
There aren't enough white picket fences in my neighbourhood though there is one in particular I always admire, the house is now for sale and so I got some photos to match with this black and white outfit.
This is a very comfy little matching set from Dolly and Dotty, a UK brand that offer very affordable retro pieces, they have a great range of dresses but I thought I'd try something a bit different. I went with size 8 for everything and found it to all fit quite well, though I do need to eventually take the waist in on the skirt a bit. I think these pieces will all work well paired with other dresses, trousers etc from my wardrobe so it's nice that I can mix it up and that is something I enjoy about adding separates to my wardrobe. I really love the top and think that will get lots of wear, especially with high waist jeans during winter.
I am taking the dogs to the park later and it's quite chilly out, it has been so nice to wear my thick jumpers, cardigans and to wear my trenchcoats with almost everything. It's just about time to pull my bigger coats out of the wardrobe too and I can't wait to post more of my winter looks as I wear them.

This is just so classic isn't it? I could do with a jacket like that. Glad you're feeling better xx
ReplyDeleteAgree with Porcelina - could use a jacket like that! I'm a big fan of what Dolly & Dotty are coming out with lately - they've had some super cute capes too :D x
ReplyDeleteOh my! Such a glorious and glamourous outfit! I love the dots mixed in with the houndstooth details on the skirt and jacket! And I LOVE the matching skirt and jacket. I'm a sucker for matching pieces! Also, you don't look tired at all! You look as lovely as always! <3
ReplyDeleteA very cute outfit, I always wondered what their tops look like and I have to, much better than in their photos! That jacket is also great, I too could do with something like that ;P
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely outfit! <3
ReplyDeleteI really love Dolly & Dotty and this matching set suits you so well.
Many hugs

Such a fun, charming outfit! I love the pop of polka dots in the middle of a black "suit". It strikes me as both Marilyn-ish and Audrey-ish at the same time and is totally, 100% something I'd wear, too. Great styling, Kayla dear!

Very fun! The pattern on the buttons is such a cute detail, and I love that you've brought attention to it with the polka dot print blouse. Such a cute, good girl meets bad girl rockabilly look.

Fantastic look. Not too dressy or business like which many suits can be. This has a lovely relaxed feel to it, especially with the fun polka dots!
ReplyDeleteYou look so pretty, this is such an elegant outfit x
