Flowers and a twirly dress!

Friday 8 March 2013

(I forgot to take the barcode sticker off the lipstick.. Woops!)

It's still quite hot in Australia even though we are into Autumn now... It's always warm for at least another month, so this dress is perfect for warm days!

The dress is by Hell Bunny and it is similar to my gingham dress - I love the style of this dress. I must admit that I do like to have multiple dresses in the same style with a different fabric design.

I recently bought three new sewing patterns to make gorgeous vintage style dresses with! I can't wait to receive them in the mail. I'm currently working on a simple tartan circle skirt... And by start I mean that I have cut the fabric (I've been quite busy lately!).

I am looking forward to visiting Spotlight and Lincraft (sewing shops in Australia) and drooling over the gorgeous fabrics! I could spend hours in those stores, I find them to be so exciting as I visualise what the fabric could be turned into.

This evening I am going to make a healthy honey-soy chicken stir-fry with rice (and lots of vegetables because I can't get enough of them) and watch a movie or two.

Hopefully my next blog post will showcase my next little sewing project.

  7. What a pretty dress! Hopefully you'll get to make more beautiful dresses - fabrics here are rather expensive but do what I do and buy them off fabric.com! If you buy a whole bunch the shipping fee will be like nothing! I usually buy quite a lot cos they're super cheap! I just actually bought some vintage fabric from a sale and it's like 40 bucks for just enough for a sundress yikes!

    1. Thank you! I'm lucky that my hair is naturally thick and curly. Try using different hair products and that might help to hold your curls! Good luck :)

  13. Oh wow, you look amazing. The combination of the print and the lipstick (with your impeccable hair) is lovely. I really love fabrics that involve both florals and stripes.
