Wiggling into Autumn

A classic wiggle dress with a lovely perfume bottle brooch which I just love paired together!

1960s Black& White Wiggle Dress - c/o Unique Vintage
Je Ne Sais Quoi Brooch - c/o Erstwilder
Shoes - Vivienne Westwood/Melissa

Since trying my first Unique Vintage wiggle dress a couple of months ago I was eager to try another, this is one that you can dress up or down or even wear to work with a cardigan. UV wiggle dresses have quite a bit of stretch but seem to fit just right each time and they are an instant confidence booster. For a dress this classy I had to wear it with my perfume bottle brooch by Erstwilder, I think it's the perfect touch to this outfit. I love perfume and always spray some on as I head out the door.

I've worn this dress with both 50's and 60's styling recently and love that you can mix it up, I look forward to wearing it with cardigans and coats too.

Something else I must remember to wear this season is my vintage gloves, I have so many and I forget to wear and style them with outfits a lot of the time. I must make sure I have them somewhere obvious so I don't forget! I absolutely love this time of year though, the air is crisp and the sun is warm.. I'd say it's perfect weather because I can get away with wearing summer dresses with just a cardigan during the day.

I also nearly lost my Fitbit this particular day so I was feeling pretty stressed because I love it. Sometimes I quickly take my Fitbit off for blog photos and this time it didn't make it to my camera my bag... Luckily it was still there when I ran back to get it ahhh! Lesson learnt - don't rush around so much!

  3. Such an elegant look - the shape of that dress is spot on, especially the slightly fluted hem. I do like a classic monochrome look, and that pretty brooch gives it that perfect finishing touch. Your hair looks fab here too. Glad you found your fitthing, the perils of outfit shoots eh? Xx

  8. Dangerous curves! You look like such a bombshell. I love the wiggle style, and the little mermaid hem really emphasizes your shape. Great dress, and you look great in it.

*PS* Do you have a vintage glove clip? If so, it may helpful to clip the pair of gloves you'd like to wear to the strap (or other outside part) of your handbag for a given outfit, as that way they'll be with you when you leave the house and you'll be much more inclined to sport them.

  12. That dress is really elegant and beautiful and fits you so well! At first I looked that maybe it was a skirt and a top, but if it's a dress, it's even better. I love the hem and the top fabric also looks very pretty with its waffle fabric. It gives such a nice texture to the dress, and the brooch is just perfect. I love Erstwilder, but sadly they're so expensive I can't buy everything I want :)
