Today was a lovely sunny spring day though it was a bit windy too, I opted for this gorgeous dress which is perfect for those in between days and it would also work really well for Autumn too (I was wearing it with my dusty pink Collectif trench coat in the morning).
Mum and I were able to get out and about today - We took the dogs to the park, had Japanese food for lunch and did some shopping. So I am feeling really happy this evening after a fun day.
I recently wore this dress for the Elise Design Spring/Summer lookbook shoot I worked on and I instantly fell in love! It is labelled as a 50's style dress but it has total 70's vibes too. I was going to wear something else this morning and then I put this on last minute, my look is a mix of both eras today. I usually wear size 6 in Elise Design but sized up to an 8 for this one as I wanted a slightly more relaxed fit in the shoulders and arms.
I love the flowy fabric, the corset style waist, long sleeves and the skirt is nice and full... It's one of those dresses that will always be a favourite and timeless to me. I'm sure you'll see me in a more laid back 70's look with it on my Instagram at some stage. Something else I have been enjoying lately is boots with dresses, I wore these ones a few blog posts ago and I can't get enough of them. It has taken me so long to wear boots with dresses because I just couldn't find any I liked the past few years but as I've mentioned previously, I got pretty lucky during the winter sales, so now my fun with boots begins (until I have to put them away for summer haha). This bag is another recent purchase and it is perfect for all of my 70's boho summer dresses... Bonus points because I can fit quite a lot in it, yay!
I received something really awesome in the mail today that I can't wait to feature on the blog towards the end of the of the month... There were high excitement levels because I always dreamt of it as a kid (yes it is a piece of clothing).
Have a great week!

What unusual details on the dress, the corset waist and tiered skirt, it's lovely. You have some fabulous brands in Australia these days! Spring walks are lovely, enjoy them x
ReplyDeleteSo pretty on you Kayla! And those earrings are so perfect with this outfit! Glad to see you're feeling better :)
ReplyDeleteThis dress is absolutely gorgeous on you! I'm loving those boots and those earrings are stunning...I love Revere Folie, I'll have to buy another pair of earrings one day soon! :)
ReplyDeleteI had to scroll right back up when I passed your earrings! How cute! Great fun outfit as well! Can't wait to see what you were excited about!! XO
ReplyDeleteThis dress is really different and in a really good way - it's not that often you see them with long sleeves these days and the waist is a lovely touch. It would be an ideal dress for our autumnal weather right now! I can't pull off ankle boots with long dresses like you can, though (much to my sadness) x
