I have been waiting to wear this jumpsuit for ages, the bestie and I had planned a picnic at the gardens so I dressed accordingly to suit the cactus section of these gardens.
After indulging on cheese and berries we strolled over to the cactus garden and Renee was great to snap some photos of me even though it was 12.30 and stinking hot... It felt like we were in the dessert, but luckily we were able to get some good shots before we sat in the shade again and had some water!
After a few hours out in the sunshine with the heat, eating a small feast and walking around in this jumpsuit I am impressed with how comfortable it is. It is made of light cotton, the fabric is great quality (just like the last Bettie Page piece I reviewed) and it is such a fun freaking outfit! Most of my jumpsuits are long with wide legs and I have always loved the look of ones in this style. I went with size US4 again and found the fit to be quite accurate, though the main issue with sizing was that the back was quite loose on me, though I could always take it in at some point.
I decided I wanted to draw more attention to my waist and break up the fabric a bit so I added a red belt from another dress. I just kept adding more colour from head to toe and I was feeling pretty festive by the time I walked out the house. I'm sure that I brightened up the supermarket when we went to get our picnic supplies, both of us in fact as Renee wore a gorgeous bright tropical dress and hat.
I really love the novelty prints by this brand and how suitable the weight and feel of the fabric is for summer here in Australia. Of course I had to pair my Erstwilder Pinata brooch with this outfit, they seem to go hand in hand and to continue with the vibrant colour scheme of this outfit. I also really love Mexican food so now as I write this post I am hungry for tacos. After wearing hair flowers my last couple of blog posts I must add more to my collection, they seem to be something I lack where as I have so many sunhats, but they are extra important. Now I just need the pineapple version of this jumpsuit, so cute!

Wow, you look sensational!! This is such bright and sassy fun. Great spot for a picnic. Sounds like it's heating up with you, it's turning colder here - tweed jacket weather! X
ReplyDeleteHow fun is your pretty outfit! You look lovely and I love the cactus backdrops x
ReplyDeleteI don't think, in coming up to five years of fashion blogging, that I've ever taken photos when it's been pretty much too hot to do so!! I'm sure it has its downsides, but I'm pretty envious of that... Anyway, this is a really cute outfit and you look cool as a cucumber despite the stinking heat! x
ReplyDeleteI love everything about this outfit! It reminds me of the Esther Williams movie Fiesta. All your accessories are perfect and I love all the cactus in the background of your photos! <3
