Charlie Stone Shoes are designed in Sydney, Australia... I've heard about this brand in the past briefly and after being contacted by Charlie Stone designer Samantha in December for a review I could not wait! It has taken a while to bring this review to the blog as December is a bit of a crazy month and I also like to take my time to review shoes as I like to test them out thoroughly before I write a review about them.
My first impressions upon receiving them was that they were really pretty and I thought that they would go really well with the majority of my wardrobe, I've worn them with so many things and they always look really cute! See on my Instagram here, here and here for a few other outfits that I have worn the Marisa Shoes with. I love a pair of shoes that will go with just about everything as I feel like I am getting more value for my wardrobe and money so the Marisa shoes get extra points here. I am no shoe model, years of dancing and sport has battered them up a bit but hey pretty shoes dress them up haha.
Now onto the important stuff... I have probably worn these shoes at least 8-10 times now and all have been long trips out. I have worn them for big shopping trips mainly (those shopping trips that involve window shopping, trying clothes on and then food shopping at the end - they require comfy shoes) and one trip for birthday to Sydney which required lots of walking around the city.
The first couple of times I wore these shoes I got blisters, something I always expect with new shoes but after about wear three or four they started to wear in a lot more. I had no issues wearing them for day trips and was very comfortable in them, no shoe complaints at all...
I was told that these shoes run large, I am usually size AU9/EU40 though was advised to size down to EU39 and I'm glad that I did as this size is the perfect fit.
Although these shoes were gifted to me I would pay for shoes by this brand as I feel like the quality does reflect the price. Charlie Stone Shoes are designed with a custom supportive insole, hidden inner heel elevation, soft leather soles and comfortable low ankle straps which is combined to make these shoes both fashionable and very much wearable for everyday use.
I have another outfit coming to the blog soon featuring these shoes and I'm sure that you will see them again as they are a new favourite for me. They also came with their own shoe bag which I like to store them in when not in use or when I need to pack them.
