Lady in Green

This 1940s inspired dress is such a timeless design, I adore the colour and the flattering fit. I have worn it all season round as the fabric light but I seem to associate this look and cut with Winter.

Nell Dress - Hell Bunny
Shoes - Target
Stockings  - eBay

The Nell dress has most recently it has been paired with my coats, cardigans and stockings during Autumn and Winter. I seem to be drawn to a lot of green and blue clothing, so I was not hesitant to purchase this dress last year.

I have added quite a few summer dresses and separates into my wardrobe lately, I could layer them for the cold, but I always imagine how nice it will be to wear it out for the first time when it is warm again!

Today is Sunday, it has been windy weather but the sun is out. My dogs and I went out in our coats for our morning walk and I am now drinking green tea and flicking through Elle Australia with Nicole Warne (Gary Pepper Girl) on the cover as I write up this post!

  1. Gorgeous in green, sweet dear! I have this same Hell Bunny dress - it was the first I ever purchased from them, actually - and love it to bits! It would be great if they released it again in some new colours.

    Big hugs,

  2. I bet you don't have to wait long until there's warm weather again - not like us saps over here who wait all year for 2 weeks of summer! There's not a dress on this planet that looks bad on you, but the cut and the deep green of this one look especially pretty :) Dark green is one of your colours! x

  3. I have this dress in a different colour, unfortunately I had to pass it on as it didn't fit me well at all. Looks great on you though.

  5. So gorgeous on you! I totally agree. This dress is so light and airy but I always think of it as more of a Fall or Winter dress! <3
