Happy Halloween!

Sunday 1 November 2015

This was a last minute outfit as I just wanted to dress for Halloween... I already had the darker lips on so I searched for the witches hat in the garage and popped on this fabulous dress!

I love this dress, it has some great 60s and it worked perfectly for Halloween too! I just love how fun and sophisticated it is.

Halloween is not huge my neighbourhood (no trick or treaters, wahhhh) but the popularity of it is definitely growing in Australia. Yesterday I saw news reports of zombie walks and trick or treaters in the city and apparently Halloween merchandise is more in demand.

I didn't attend any Halloween parties this year or do much at all, though I did dress up for a little bit of fun. I went as a baby goth to do some shopping at the supermarket, as seen on my Instagram (lol) and then I changed into this witch themed outfit and Kitty even allowed me to include her for a few photos.

I have always loved watching scary movies and I did plan on doing that last night until I fell asleep suddenly. I made a roast dinner and then had some lollies and I think it just made me extra sleepy. Goosebumps will always be a classic for me, I remember watching it when I was a kid and getting a little freaked out and now it is on Netflix I have been watching an episode every now and again. My favourite episodes are A Night in Terror Tower and The Haunted Mask. The last film I saw at the cinema was The Visit, a horror/comedy and I thought it was really well done + creepy - I do recommend it.

Happy Halloween!

  1. Halloween is not a big thing in Croatia, but there are still plenty Halloween themed parties around. I love your witchy outfit, it's very cute. And what is a witch without a cat! <3

  2. I used to be obsessed with the Goosebumps books - I'd read all of them! Never watched the show though - but I've always been more of a reader than a watcher I guess. This dress is the perfect last-minute witch dress - and it looks so good on you! x

  3. Amazing photos! I was so close to getting this dress a while ago and when I went to go pick it up, it sold! It always gave me Megan Draper vibes, It looks so great on you! Also Goosebumps is the best it's so funny how what was so scary as a kid is kind of cheesy and funny now to watch!

  4. Always a good classic, and you're one of the most glam and pretty witches I've seen! I didn't know that Halloween "was growing" in Australia...does that mean it wasn't that big until recently? XO

  5. Splendidly lovely Halloween outfit! That wee pumpkin is darling! I have a striking similar (I almost wonder if it's identical) one that I've had for several years now. They really do make for such fun props.

    Wishing you a fantastic November!

  6. Excellent outfit! That's great that you were able to throw it together so quickly and I love the photos of you with your cat! That's great to hear that Halloween's been growing in popularity in Australia! I was in Brisbane in 2005 and got to see some Halloween celebrations while I was there! Also, so fun to hear that you liked The Visit. We were planning on seeing that one but ended up missing it when it was in the theaters so will have to wait for it on dvd but we are definitely looking forward to seeing it!

  7. Incredible images! I almost bought this dress a while back, but by the time I got there to pick it up, it had already been purchased. That dress always made me think of Megan Draper; you wear it well. What was very terrifying when you were a child is now kind of corny and humorous when you see Goosebumps. Easily the best post ever made. Here's where you can find out more about us and the work that we do: Merchant Cash Advance Leads.

  8. Happy Halloween! Your last-minute outfit is fantastic, and you pulled off the witch-themed look perfectly. The Hazel Dress from Voodoo Vixen is a great choice, and it does have a charming '60s vibe. It's fun to see Halloween growing in popularity in Australia, with zombie walks and more. Scary movies and Goosebumps are a classic choice for the season. I'm glad you enjoyed The Visit; it's always nice to find a good horror/comedy. Hope you had a spooky and enjoyable Halloween.
