Poppies a Plenty

I love blue, green and floral dresses so when I first laid eyes on this dress I knew it would be a new favourite floral dress to welcome into my wardrobe.

When I first tried Emily and Fin last season I was very excited by the quality of the garment, the attention to detail and cute print... This season I am as impressed as I was before if not more as I got to sample the knitwear too!

I went with size xs/8 again and it is a perfect it, I went for the same size for the jumper and found that it fit really well too (both being true to the size chart). The Lois jumper has a loose fit at the waist but for this look I tucked it into a belt for a more polished look. I do like relaxed knits like this so I will be throwing it over many of my dresses and skirts in the future. This jumper isn't itchy, it's comfy to wear and very versatile. I was tempted to wear two brooches.. But decided to just stick to one this time.

This dress is absolutely stunning, I love that it can be dressed up or dressed down, it has big pockets and is lined. I love blue and green together and the print really is beautiful. I can't wait to wear this throughout spring and summer.. And layer it like I have here when it is cold and with a pair of stockings when we are back into Autumn/Winter. I was going to wear purple kitten heels with this dress last and then I thought to myself "No, Kayla.. Wear your funky green heels!" I'm glad I did because it was an outfit that made me feel super happy that day.

I initially wanted to have a background of Wattle but all my favourite nearby wattle trees got trimmed back (sad face) but this particular day I passed these flowers with Max and they were in full bloom and oh my gosh they smell so beautiful, spring has sprung, that's for sure. Emily and Fin has lots of amazing new pieces available, so be sure to check them out!

  3. What lovely colours! I do like that you chose the green shoes to go with it, they add a pop to the whole thing. I hadn't seen that style before, I must check them out! I had a pair of the Croc Mary-Janes, but they were a bit uncomfortable so I sold them. Alas, the Lady Dragon didn't suit my feet either. Maybe these ones will, third time lucky with the VW for Melissa shoes?! xx

  9. Beautiful dress and complete outfit is also gorgeous. I don't like green particularly much, but paired with blue and florals like this, it's absolutely perfect! (With pink and white florals too!) So vibrant colors, very nice.

  10. Super pretty outfit! I adore green + blue together as well and have never, ever paid any attention to the antiquated (and not in a good vintage way :)) notion that the two shouldn't be worn together. Pish! They're elegant, serene and beautiful together, as this wonderful ensemble so stylishly highlights.

  11. I struggle with Emily & Fin sizing, I'm definitely a 7 in their clothes! It's so sad because they're all so pretty but either too tight or too loose on me :( I love this gorgeous dress and that you chose green shoes to go with it. I need me some green shoes! x
