I'm all for adding more coral and orange garments into my wardrobe and this Stop Staring dress is the perfect addition. From the simple cut, lightweight breathable cotton fabric to the vibrant colour of the dress this is my definition of a perfect summer pencil dress. I bought a really great lip colour recently that is a great mix of coral and orange, it just screams summer to me so I'll be rocking that with an outfit on the blog soon.
Stop Staring has been one of my favourite pin-up brands for years as the quality is always great, the sizing is always consistent and the designs are really beautiful. I wear size small for most Stop Staring dresses, including this one. I've worn xs before if there is a good amount of stretch but small seems to work pretty well for me and fits nicely all over. This dress would look really lovely with a cropped bolero over top if it was cool in the evening, I didn't try it this time though as it is too humid but the dress was comfortable to wear in the heat. Another feature of this dress that I really like is the interesting criss-cross neckline, it's a simple yet really elegant feature of the dress... This and the colour of the dress caught my attention. This dress simply zips up at the back and is easy to get in and out of without messing up my hair, I look forward to wearing this dress each spring and summer for many years to come!
A couple of blog posts ago I featured The Ocean Trotter seahorse brooch by Erstwilder and today I am featuring these cuties. These earrings are just the right size which makes them both cute and elegant without looking too novelty. On the weekend I paired the brooch and earrings together and it has to be one of the cutest sets ever, see here. I have quite a large Erstwilder collection and I think The Ocean Trotter pieces have now joined my top ten favourite designs.
My mum got back from her holiday visiting my Aunty in New Zealand a couple of days ago. I rushed over to her house so we could chat, look at photos and snack on my favourite NZ treats that she brought back. It has been nice to go for our waterfront walks together again, the dogs are super excited to have her back too! I will have to share some of the beautiful vintage nighties that my Aunty has been collecting for me, she is so good at finding beautiful things in op-shops and she seems to have really good luck.
It's going to be another scorcher this weekend, I had an exiting mail day with new swimwear and I can't wait to take them for a test run at the beach. I have another Stop Staring dress coming to the blog soon and I am excited about their new collection, it looks like they have some really great pieces coming soon.

Stupendous dress!! I love coral too, and summery prints like this. Very elegant. Xx
ReplyDeleteBombshell! Coral is your color, girl! And hooray for some awesome photos by the water! We know that can be a challenge so applause all around! I love these summer vibes while I'm recovering from chipping ice off my car this morning! She looked like a frozen blueberry! =D
ReplyDeleteSo great on you! I really like the bust and neckline of this dress. So interesting. And the earrings are so perfect <3
ReplyDeleteStop Staring have never really caught my attention because I like quirky prints and details and they've always been more on the plain fabric side from what I've seen, but this dress is really different! Definitely makes me look at them in a new light - love both the print and that neckline detail. I see I'll have to watch them a bit more closely now! x
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful! The dress is pitch perfect on you - I like the pretty print, and both the shape and colors suit you beautifully. I really like the style of the Stop Staring dresses, although I've never pulled the trigger and picked one up. I really should change that.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous look, this dress is perfect on you. Love the shoes you paired with it, great styling in general with the parasol and the wicker bag! I haven't looked at Stop Staring's offerings for a while but it looks like I better go check them out.
ReplyDeleteWow this dress is amazing on you, I'm loving the floral print and the colour, your figure is made for wiggle style dresses! Cute wicker bag too. xo
