Okay, so this nautical outfit is another favourite for me... I probably say that every time but I can't help myself haha. Anyway, I love adding more separates to my wardrobe and I lack nautical themed skirts so this Hell Bunny lighthouse print is the perfect addition to my wardrobe.

I wore this outfit a couple of weekends ago for an evening walk and then a cheeky trip to Spotlight to buy fabric. This outfit is comfy and I look (well I think I look) well put together, I love a knitted top with a skirt or trousers, it's simple but it always looks really nice and it's good for Autumn.

The Wendi cardigan, like all knitwear by Hell Bunny is beautiful quality and nice to wear, I ordered up and went with size small as I like to have a bit of room for layering. For this outfit I just wore the cardi as a top and the buttons are nice and secure so there was no risk of a button coming undone or gaping, another reason why I sized up so I can wear it like this with ease.

I wore the Lighthouse skirt in my usual size xs and found the fit to be spot on, other than how much I love this print, I love that it is a well structured skirt that is good quality and it also has pockets. I'm keen to try it with different tops and cardigans or to even wear with a bikini top at the beach next summer! That is another thing I love about separates as you can just mix and match them with everything.

I had to pair this red Sun Jellies tote with this outfit as it just works so well for this look and was also practical for carrying my camera etc. I switched the red handles to white and it looks so good, I'm going to have to mix and match more of my Sun Jellies handles soon I think! This Erstwilder brooch is also another perfect match for this outfit, it has to be one of my favourite brooches and I was quick to purchase it when it was released.

I'm looking forward to the weekend I get to hang out with my family, walk my dogs and give them lots of hugs, I have some outfits I want to wear + shoot for the blog and lots of little things I want to get done.

  1. The lighting in these photos is just dreamy! Your Mum is such a good photographer. I think you're setting a new record for the number of nautical items one person owns, but when they're this cute it would be rude not to! X

I actually want to get this skirt (or corresponding dress) for my mom bc she loves light houses and lives near the water. You look fab and have styled this perfectly! XO

  5. I love this skirt, as you know! I thought it would look cute with the Wendi cardigan and whaddya know, it does! Considering how many great nautically-appropriate locations you have nearby, it would be a crime if you didn't own all the nautical clothes in the world frankly... x
