35 Weeks

Friday, 23 October 2020

I'm trying to backtrack to 35 weeks... I forgot to take my usual weekly wrap pics on my camera but instead just pulled together a bunch of photos from our phones and there are some good ones (at least I think so haha).

For the most part I of course felt very exhausted as usual, though I did feel really good on the Saturday during this week and so we took the opportunity to head out to the beach because I so desperately wanted to swim in the ocean, Max took in the ocean breeze laying on the beach and baby got to here waves crashing on my body, she was probably thinking "wtf is that?!"
The following days after that I just wanted to sleep and take it easy, I was back to feeling tired. I just kept up with some small tasks around house, finalised most of my hospital bag and whatever else I needed to do.

My midwife appointment went well, I am still measuring up well with the week of pregnancy I am in, blood pressure was slightly low, the protein check in my urine was fine and the baby's heartbeat was nice and strong, I had to drop my strep b swab to pathology after too, I was able to do this at home before bringing in the sample which was good.

I did almost faint on my way into the appointment. A combination of feeling slightly nauseous, a little bit anxious before the appointment and a very swirly carpark made me have a hot flush and want to drop. So I laid on a bench outside of the hospital with mum until I felt ready to move. I was 10 minutes late to my appointment and if you know me I hate being late but the midwives didn't mind which made me feel better. Though I did get a bit faint again and had to lay down in the room but after all of that I was okay, not a fun feeling though - there is no getting used to it.

It's just been more exhaustion, hot flushes, trying to get comfy in bed each night and some heartburn/intergestion when I hop into bed.

I don't feel fully awake until around midday, baby moves sooo much, she still shakes me around in the mornings which leads to some nausea but I am glad that she still moves so constantly or I would get very worried.

Max continues to be super excited about her arrival each week and is always talking to my tummy, it's so cute! He is very proud of the baby bump which is so sweet and he takes such good care of me.

Would you prompt beginning with a free stage like or go for a paid alternative? There are such a large number of alternatives out there that I’m totally overpowered .. Any thoughts? Welcome it!
