Waterfront walks in the perfect nautical romper!

Anchor Earrings - c/o Revere Folie
Belt - Dotti
Shoes - Wittner

Another week, another nautical outfit! I wore this baby out on Monday for a walk with mum and the dogs, not only is it gorgeous but it's is dog walking friendly and being a romper it is excellent for windy weather (always something I like to factor into a majority of my purchases - love being practical)! We all know by now that I can't resist a good nautical outfit and so this Unique Vintage romper made it's way to my wardrobe.

Instead of a sunhat (which is my favourite) I decided to try a sailor cap for this look. I'm um'd and ah'd as I wasn't sure if I could pull it off and I didn't want to look like I was wearing some sort of costume (but let's face it, that is a question that vintage style people can face quite often). I personally think it worked but the main thing is that I really liked wearing this cap, just as well I did decide to style it this way as it was a windy waterfront walk and I would have had no hope with a sunhat.

I went with my usual size small and as usual the fit is great, I haven't had any issues with UV sizing. I must also mention that this romper has pockets yay! To finish my outfit I added this red belt, Revere Folie anchor earrings and decided to wear these shoes as they are comfortable for walking the dogs and I love them! This romper also comes in a stripe version which is also really cute.

Yay for Friday, this weekend I'll mainly be at home working on some blog posts, doing a bit of cleaning, hanging out with family and the big task of re-organising my wardrobe, I had to buy lots of clothes hangers yesterday as I'm running low. I will probably shuffle some of my summer and autumn dresses around since my clothes are out of control at the moment... I must get through the huge pile of dresses that I need to steam! It will be a productive weekend that's for sure. Maybe I can squeeze in a haircut too, we'll see...

  2. Gorgeous, as always, I love all of your pictures. I can't help but think looking at these photos: "Easy, breezy, beautiful cover girl", it goes like that , right? The romper looks very nautically appropriate: cute and practical . And the hat is perfect for this outfit.

  7. The hat definitely does work - it really tops off (in every way) this look. I didn't think I'd like a wide-legged romper, but this looks super cute on you, so you've convinced me! x

  8. Adorable on you Kayla and I love that you took the risk on the hat! It's so perfect with this outfit. Also, I love that this romper looks like a dress when you're standing. So different than most rompers I've seen. :)
