Does it surprise you that I was very very very excited when I first saw that Erstwilder was releasing the beautiful Ocean Vibes range?

I have lots of favourites from the collection including this gorgeous seahorse brooch. It's cute, it's bright and it looks so lovely with lots of my clothes. I've wanted to wear this matching top and skirt set for ages, it was a lucky find last winter on ebay as this is an older style by Collectif... The top is a size too big and is a bit loose but I decided not to alter yet as it is nice and cool for summer plus it's comfy for throwing over a bikini. I had planned to wear a different brooch with this outfit but I tried it on and really liked the burst of colour from this sweet little sea creature.

A couple of days ago my bestie and I took a trip to the beach, we trekked up a steep hill and stairs to check out the view and snap a couple of photos before heading back down to spend a couple of hours in the water and on the sand to eat the quick little picnic lunch that we packed. It was forty degrees by this point so I was looking a bit red and sweaty from the trek (I know, so glamorous) but there was quite a nice breeze up top. When we got back down to the beach it only took me a couple of minutes before I ran towards the water for a swim and I did not want to get out.

I've been hoping for a few months now that Erstwilder would release a collection like this and I am so pleased that they did, there is such a great range to choose from. I made sure to order the Helm and Home anchor brooch today as I do not want to miss out on that one and it will go perfectly with my nautical outfits! This beach girl is very pleased with the new range, I want to add more to my collection already.

  1. Agreed, have been waiting for a nautical range from Erstwilder for ages! Am a bit sad not to see a beach hut in there though... but perhaps that is more of a British thing? I was tempted by the seahorse, I think it's hard not to have a soft spot for them, but was worried I wouldn't find a way to put something red and yellow with my clothes. You've proven it can be done though! This set was a good find - I have the other colourway of it and I have to laugh because not an inch of my midriff makes it out of it. So, so short... x

  2. This little two piece is ADORABLE!! I am so glad to see some wind in your photos so I could get a look at the lovely teal lining on the skirt. What a fun outfit with the hat, sunglasses, and of course, the Erstwilder!

  7. So pretty on you! I love the fabric Collectif used for this set. I have it in the sarong dress <3 I love the way you've styled it here. So perfect for the new Erstwilder nautical collection. I picked up the Ahoy Sailor brooch from this collection, the one with the black haired sailor lady. After seeing you match so well with your pretty lady from the picnic collection, I'm eager to have one of my own that might match me too :) <3
